Cranberry Sauce

  • 8 oz frozen cranberries
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup of water
  • 2 tbsp sweet vermouth (we used Cinzano Rosso) *secret ingredient
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon


  1. Combine sugar and water in a medium sauce pan and bring to a boil
  2. Add cranberries and stir
  3. When the mixture returns to a boil, reduce heat bringing it to a low simmer
  4. Allow mixture to simmer for about 10 minutes stirring constantly
  5. Add cinnamon, stir
  6. Remove from heat and let cool
  7. Serve chilled or at room temperature
